In plain English.
- We don't sell your data. Ever. Not anonymized, not aggregated, not "for research."
- Your save lives in iCloud, not on a server we run. Score sync, cosmetic selections, and crystal balance ride your Apple ID. We never see them.
- Game Center handles leaderboards and achievements. Apple stores them; we read your placement on the global board, not your raw run data.
- Pro Edition is verified through Apple's StoreKit. We get a receipt confirming you bought it; Apple processes the payment.
- Ads in the free tier use AdMob with App Tracking Transparency. If you said "Ask App Not to Track," ads are non-personalized.
- Crash reports only reach us if you opted into Apple's "Share with App Developers" toggle. We can't enroll you.
A solo developer.
Prism Runner is built and operated by Drew Galbraith, an independent developer based in the United States. There's no support team, no parent company, no data warehouse. When you email support@prismrunner.com, you're emailing Drew.
Four narrow buckets.
Each bucket is opt-in or required by an Apple service. You can see all of them in iOS Settings → Prism Runner.
Game Center identity
If you sign into Game Center, we receive your Game Center nickname and player ID, your scores against the leaderboards we publish, and your achievement progress. We use these only to render leaderboards and unlock badges in-game. They live with Apple.
iCloud save
Your save data — score history, cosmetic selections, unlock state, crystal balance — sits in your private iCloud. We never read it. iCloud handles sync between your iPhone and iPad. If you sign out of iCloud, the local save still works on the device.
Pro Edition receipts
When you buy Pro Edition ($9.99 one-time), Apple sends us a transaction receipt — a signed token that says this Apple ID owns Pro. We use it to unlock the four boosts and three premium biomes. We do not see your name, billing address, card information, or Apple ID password.
Advertising data (free tier only)
Free runs include ads served by Google AdMob. AdMob's data collection depends on your iOS App Tracking Transparency choice:
- "Ask App Not to Track": ads are non-personalized; no IDFA shared.
- "Allow Tracking": AdMob may use your IDFA, device type, and OS version to personalize the ad selection.
- Pro Edition: ad-free; we never load AdMob.

Diagnostics (Apple-mediated)
Crash reports and performance metrics only reach us if you have iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements → Share with App Developers enabled. Apple aggregates and anonymizes the reports before we see them.
You're in the chair.
- App Tracking: iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. Toggle Prism Runner off any time.
- Game Center visibility: iOS Settings → Game Center → Profile Privacy. Set to "Only You" if you don't want public leaderboards.
- iCloud sync: iOS Settings → [your name] → iCloud → Apps Using iCloud → Prism Runner. Toggle off to keep your save local-only.
- Diagnostics: iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements. Disable "Share with App Developers" to stop sending crash reports.
- Delete everything: uninstall the app and your local save is gone. iCloud save can be deleted from iOS Settings → [your name] → iCloud → Manage Account Storage.
Where the bytes live.
- On your device: game state, settings, local save.
- In your iCloud: save data, cosmetic selections, unlock state, crystal balance. Encrypted at rest by Apple.
- With Apple (Game Center): nickname, scores, achievements.
- With Google AdMob: ad-related identifiers per your ATT choice.
- With us: nothing personal. We have no servers that store your run data.
When data leaves your device, it goes to a service named above — never to a custom Prism Runner server.
Under 13.
Prism Runner is rated 4+ on the App Store. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you're a parent and believe your child has provided personal information, email support@prismrunner.com and we'll delete it.
Game Center accounts for users under 13 are governed by Apple's Family Sharing and Screen Time controls — managed by the parent or guardian Apple ID, not by us.
If anything changes.
When we update this policy, the "last updated" date at the top changes and material updates ship inside the app's next release notes. We don't email policy changes to you (we don't have your email).
